Starting at Octave Rooftop Bar

Their first stop was the Octave Rooftop Bar at the Marriott Hotel. Although the bar was only about 3 kilometers from their hotel, it took a long time to get there because Sukhumvit Road is the busiest and most crowded road in Bangkok. Ishan mentioned the heavy traffic they faced along the way.

Once they arrived at Octave, Ishan praised the amazing view, saying it might be one of the best views of the city. He ordered a classic Thai beer called Chang, while Weronika tried a Bacardi Thai coffee cocktail. While enjoying their drinks, Ishan noticed another main section of the bar and laughed when he realized they had been sitting in a smaller part first. He recommended the bar to everyone visiting Bangkok.

Dinner at a Popular Thai Restaurant

After the rooftop bar, they went to a well-rated Thai restaurant for dinner. Their meal included traditional Thai green curry and a mixed platter. The food looked delicious and it was a great way to recharge for the night ahead.

Exploring Soi Cowboy

Next, Ishan and Weronika headed to Soi Cowboy, a famous nightlife street about one kilometer long. The area is filled with nightclubs and bars playing loud music. Ishan walked through the street and shared his thoughts on the happy and lively vibes of the people there.

Tuk-Tuk Ride to Khao San Road

On their way to Khao San Road, Ishan, and his wife took a tuk-tuk ride. He compared Bangkok’s tuk-tuks to those in India, saying Bangkok’s tuk-tuks were better maintained and had music systems. However, he also noted that tuk-tuks in Bangkok were more expensive than regular taxis.

Nightlife at Khao San Road

They reached Khao San Road in about 15 to 20 minutes. Ishan explained that Khao San Road is the best place to stay for backpackers or solo travelers. The street was full of people with a crazy party atmosphere. Ishan enjoyed another classic Thai beer while Weronika had a fruity cocktail. The crowd was lively and everyone seemed ready to have fun.

Final Stop: Nana Plaza

To end their night, they walked to Nana Plaza, which is close to their hotel, about a 5 to 6-minute walk. However, when they arrived, they found the area was closed because of Buddha Day, a special holiday.
